Professional Invoice Template
Banner is a professional invoice template built around one strong move: a full-width color band across the top of the page, with the document title, your logo and the key dates reversed out in white. It reads as established from arm’s length, before a single line item has been read.
Also available as a receipt and a quote — same design, different labels. No sign-up, no watermark, and everything is generated in your browser.
The band does the work a printed letterhead used to do. Below it, the page is deliberately plain — your details and the client’s side by side, a standard ruled table of line items, and a clean totals stack — so the color keeps its authority instead of competing with itself. The only other colored element is the bottom line: the amount due sits in a filled bar of the same color, reversed in white, and it is intentionally the loudest thing on the page. A client flicking through a stack of PDFs finds your total, and whose total it is, in under a second.
Use it as a business invoice template when the impression matters: the first invoice to a new client, larger amounts, or any trade where looking established helps the next job along — agencies, contractors, recruiters, wholesalers. The band takes your own accent color, so the document can match the rest of your paperwork. One practical note that comes with the design: the title and dates are white text on the band, so a reasonably dark accent keeps them crisp, and on a black-and-white printer the band simply becomes a dark gray block — still deliberate, still legible.
The template covers all three document types with the correct wording for each: “Balance due” on an invoice, “Amount paid” with the payment date and method on a receipt, and “Quote total” with a validity date on a quote. It is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark — fill it in, download the PDF, and send it.
Frequently asked questions
Can the band be my brand color?
Yes. The accent color you pick in the generator fills both the header band and the total bar at the bottom. Darker colors work best, because the text on both is white.
What makes an invoice look professional?
Mostly completeness and consistency, not decoration: a unique document number, both dates, line descriptions the client can recognize, and a clearly labeled total. The design’s job is to present those in the right order — the band just makes sure it is your name the reader sees first.
Where does my logo appear?
Inside the band, at the top right, above the document number and dates. A logo with a transparent background sits best on the colored band; a logo on a white rectangle still works, but it is worth previewing before you send.
Can I use this template for receipts and quotes?
Yes. Switch the document type in the generator and the labels follow: a receipt shows “Amount paid” and how it was paid, and a quote shows “Quote total” with how long the quote stands.
