Questions, corrections, and suggestions are all welcome. A figure that comes out wrong is the report we most want.

Reporting a wrong figure

Nothing you type is uploaded, so we cannot look up your document — everything we need has to be in the message. To reproduce a suspected arithmetic problem quickly, please include:

  • Which document you were making — invoice, receipt, or quote
  • The line items you entered: quantity and unit price for each
  • The tax rate, and whether tax was set to added on top or already included; plus any discount, shipping, and amount paid
  • The figure the document printed and the figure you expected
  • The currency symbol you selected
  • Your browser, if the problem looks like a display or PDF issue rather than a wrong number

Confirmed issues are corrected in the money engine and covered by a new automated test so they cannot recur silently. See the methodology page for how the figures are produced — integer cents, rounding once per line, discount before tax, inclusive tax extracted rather than subtracted — which may also explain a total that looked wrong at first glance.

What we cannot help with

InvoicesAndReceipts.com is a document generator, not an accounting system and not tax or legal advice. It cannot tell you what a particular jurisdiction or client requires on an invoice, does not apply per-jurisdiction tax rules or validate tax numbers, and cannot confirm that a document you produced here satisfies anyone's requirements. For consequential billing, check with an accountant or the relevant tax authority.

We also cannot recover a document. Nothing is stored, so once the tab is closed the only copy is the PDF you downloaded.
