Elegant Invoice Template

Meridian is a letterhead, not a form: your name centered at the top in a serif face, the document label set in spaced small capitals beneath it, and the page divided by double hairline rules. It suits work where the paper itself is part of the impression — consultants, studios, and small firms whose invoice may sit in the same inbox as their proposals.

Also available as a receipt and a quote — same design, different labels. No sign-up, no watermark, and everything is generated in your browser.

The design puts identity first. Your logo, if you add one, sits centered above your name; your details print in small italics beneath it; the client follows on the same axis before the page settles into a conventional ruled table for the line items. The bottom line is deliberately understated — a rule, the label, and the amount in bold serif only slightly larger than the body text — because on this kind of document a boxed, shouted total reads like a demand.

It produces all three document kinds. As an invoice, the second date reads "Due"; as a receipt it reads "Paid on" and the bottom line becomes "Amount paid"; as a quote, the letterhead label is set as "Quotation" and the total is a "Quote total", so nothing about the page pressures a client who does not owe money yet.

Everything is generated in your browser: what you type is never uploaded, and the finished A4 PDF has no watermark and needs no sign-up. The honest limits: the centered header spends vertical space on presence, so a long item list reaches a second page sooner than a compact layout would, and the palette — near-black and gray — is fixed. If you routinely bill dozens of lines, the itemized grid template is the better tool.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Meridian for receipts and quotes as well as invoices?

Yes. The same layout produces all three. The letterhead label, the second date and the bottom-line label all change with the document kind, so a receipt never shows a due date and a quote never demands a balance.

Can I change the colors or the font?

No. Meridian is set in a serif throughout with a fixed near-black and gray palette; the restraint is the design. If you want a color accent, another template is the better choice.

Where does my logo go?

Centered above your name, scaled to fit a small box so it reads as a mark rather than a banner. The image is embedded straight into the PDF on your own device and is not uploaded anywhere.

How many line items fit on the first page?

Fewer than in a compact layout, because the centered header takes more of the page. The table continues onto following pages automatically; for documents that are mostly table, the itemized template is designed for exactly that.
